I'll be in NY city for 3 days, that is from friday the 18th to the following monday.
this means a full weekend to spend in the big apple.
I'll be acting as every tourist and have a look at the major sites, but I would like to know something about the clubs, pubs and similar places of debauchery ^_^. I'm 28, male, italian, traveling alone (unless I make friends upon entering the hostel I'm sleeping at)... is there any place I should definitelly not miss? any verrrry famous club or pub or lounge bar of whatever that's worth a visit and wherefore I won't need a bowtie or being hand in had with a topmodel not to get bounced?

the original plan was to come with some friends but they all chickened out for different reasons, leaving me all alone. (yes, this is an invitation, as I don't know anybody in NY, feel free to contact me ^_^ )

all kind of music from hard rock to metal, from ethnic to folk or country are welcome when it comes to pubs, I'm not a rave person, I do like house music, some comercial pop or the disco classics when it comes to dancefloors.. no hardcore, or similar crap.

I can't believe you are coming to Ny alone. You did not say the location of where you are staying but I hope this helps. You did not state the kind of music you like either. Try Crash Mansion or any place in the Times Square Area. Stay away from the West side of ManhattanCrashMansion is contemporary rock music. You can call information for the address. CBGB on the Bowery is very famous. Loud rock music. Anywhere in the East Village should be good. Crash Mansion on a Friday night costs only $5.00 to get in.If you go before 11:00PM the drinks are discounted too. Try to stay away from the West side of Manhattan late at night.
Let me know how it turns out!

depends what you like and how much money you are able to spend here, good meal not too expensive almost anything in litle italy is good for good music downtown has some good rock clubs/bars, for dance music there are some downtown and in midtown. Oh and remember there's more to NYC then just Manhatten there's Queens, Bronx Brooklyn and Staten Island also.
