I think there is a difference ~ I love my children & my family & friends, but I am crazy, mad in love with my husband. The difference, I am not sure that I can define, is you have a passion with the person you are in love with, that you wouldn't have with your children or family members.

Basically, it's all highly individual - you have to be the one "feeling" the "love" or the "loving" in order to actually know - However, for someone who has "felt" both - one is basically "lust" (the "loving someone" "thing") and the other is a more stable, longer lasting feeling (being "in love" "thing") that you can use to your own benefit: obtaining a companion, maintaining a relationship, or, otherwise, getting involved with another "human being" (which, by the way, is the only reason for anyone's existence: think about it - why else is there males and females if it is not for procreation!!!)

Well that's kind of simple. You love your family, you love a pet but if there's a special someone in your life that you can't live without, you're in love with them. You can have a best friend that you love but have no romantic feelings for.

For the most part, this is silly semantics and both are false. Real love has to do with unselifness and not wanting a feeling or anything in return.

loving someone from what I see, is like your family and friends and love is like when you love someone and end up in some ways shutting out your friends and family and wanting to spend all the time you have with the one you love, but sometimes this can destroy friendships but most of the time you still have your loving family.

even if there is no difference between "In love" and "loving", what difference does it make, love will be as precious as it is now. So stopsearching differences and try to learn the meaning of love first.

loving some one is like that you can live with out that person but if something happens to that person you will do what you can to help or protect.
in love with someone is that you think about them all the time. you hear there name and you light up. you cant wait to see them just to hear there voice. you want to wake up every morning to catch them sleeping and think to your self how lucky you are.

Being "in love" generally would mean that you are in love with someone and he is in love with you, however, if things go wrong, you can bet that one of you would not be so "in love" with the other one. However, 'loving" someone, to me, would mean, that your love is unconditional. You love that person, no matter what and your love will not change, if change finds it, because in loving someone, you put that person before yourself, in everything and you will be there for them, no matter what.

To be "in love" is a very special feeling that you get deep down in your heart. "Loving" someone involves squeezing some titties! I get a special feeling deep down in my pants (wanna find out?).
