Im short so 100lbs is not underweight on me. anywho, i dont eat no "junk food or soda" maybe 1 diet pepsi every other day or 2 days. Gatorade and water all the time but i cant seem to loose weight.. i go to the gym 3 times a week(fri, sat & sun) i do the tredmiel for 30 mins and then i do the bicycle and this weird looking ski thing.. so im there for 1 hour. i get home and relax for 10 mins and then i do 100 crunches and 40 squats. i feel the burn but as soon as i eat something i gain 2lbs. i just dont get it. Try laying off the gatorade. Unless you're competing in a sport, you really shouldn't be drinking those extra carbs. Also, resistance training(light weight lifting) should help you build some lean tissue to help burn off extra calories during the day.
Don't feel discouraged if your weight increases by a little. Crunches or squats will only make you gain weight. Those are anaerobic exercises and will build lean muscle which is good. Anaerobic doesn't use fat cells to fuel your energy.
I don't see a problem in your diet. Remeber it takes 3500 calories to burn off 1 pound. Count your calorie intake during the day so you have a good idea of how much you're eating. Theoretically, cutting 500 calories a day will result in 1 pound a week. With good Aerobic exercise you should be able to lose 2-3 pounds a week.
Hope this helps. Good Luck!

First get a complete check up from your doctor. Fruit has fructose which is sugar. I would have to look at your work out schedule to find out what can be wrong. I take it you have one right? Maybe not. Big mistake people make is they don't have a workout schedule. I always hear them say I do the treadmill 30mins day. OK great! What was your heart rate? How far did you run? How fast? You have to know all of this to get improvement and results. Every single run on the treadmill must show some improvement. Say you run for 3miles in 30 mins. your next run should be shaved by at least 3-5 secs. At the end of the week you should make an improvement of 10-15secs of your time. After a few weeks of this then change it up to mins. How long can you go. Increase it by 20-30secs each run. Get the idea? Always challenge yourself.

Hello. I am Happy to suggest a few things I think may help you. First ask your Dr. to do a Thyroid check. I am on Thyroid medication, But the lowest dose, I just needed a little help to get my thyroid in normal activity. Then I changed my diet to a healthy diet, giving up all junk food and over eating of course. lol I joined weight watchers and I go to the Gym. The key thing you need to keep in mind, as you build muscle it also gains some weight but a healthy weight, you need to loose inches more then weight. A Healthy strong muscle and good healthy immune system is so important. Remember try not to over do in any thing. Exercise doesn't need to be done every day , but every other day or your body will be accustomed to needing the extra work out to function, cut back a little if you are exercising every day to every other day. maintain your healthy diet and watch your amounts. What helps me is I measure my food out onto a Bread plate, I do not use the regular dinner plate as my body doesn't need that much food. I have lost 50 pounds and still loosing. I wish you all the best in your achievement and goals. I am proud of you and Know you will do well. Thank you for letting me help.
P.S. I would cut out all pop of all kinds, and cut out sweets other then natural sweets from fresh fruit. Drink Water, Green or White Tea, natural juices with out sugar added for Vitamin C

I agree with the person who said something about thyroid. It could be your thyroid regardless of whether or not you're healthy. You need a blood test to find out if your thyroid levels are ok. I am sure you look fine as you are, so quit trying to lose the weight. Obviously your body is telling you that it doesn't need to lose anymore weight. To lose weight, you need to have a balanced diet. You need to eat 5-9 servings of fruits and veggies, 3-6 servings of wheat bread or any other carbohydrate, and eat proteins 3 times a day. Do check with your doctor about your thyroid. I am 5ft and I looked great when I was at 127. However if you really wanna lose some weight, don't go below 110. Good luck!

I feel your pain...optimally you want to take in 1500 calories per day, eating small meals every two hours to boost your metabolism. Also not eating after 8 pm helps as well. Another thing that helps is when you are at the gym, weight train...right now you are doing the right amount of cardio, and the squats and crunches help, but in order to burn fat you must gain muscle. Which has always been a mystery to me, but seems to be true. You can weigh 127, and be 5'4....you won't look heavy at all, all of your weight will be muscle..

Gatorade is fattening if you drink too much of it. Do you eat a lot of meat? Cut the Pepsi out completely. And exercise hard for at least 1 hour 5 days a week. That should raise your metabolism but it'll take a few weeks to do it. Then the weight should fall off.

Your exercise and diet are great, so that can't be the problem. Are you taking antidepressants? Sometimes they will cause your metabolism to slow down. Mine is and I am struggling with my weight gain too. Your thyroid can also cause weight gain. Wouldn't hurt to have that checked.
Another idea, is may be your weight gain is muscle. You seem very fit and the numbers on the scale could be deceiving. It's muscle, not fat. Therefore, cut back on some of your exercising, and your weight will start to go down. Good Luck! :)

Quit focusing on weight, focus on your percentage of body fat. Pay more attention to how your clothes fit, not what the scale says. I have helped ladies go from a 14 to a 4 and only lose 8 lbs, I have also helped ladies go from an 8 to a 2 and gain 6 lbs. Everyone says muscle weighs more than fat. That is misleading like which weighs more 100lbs of lead or a 100lbs of feathers. They both weigh the same. 5lbs of muscle weighs what 5 lbs of fat weighs but the muscle takes up less space. Metabolism is the number of calories you burn in a day without adding movement. Muscle is the engine of your metabolism, fat is the fuel. If you want to build more lean muscle you have to resistance train. Muscles are made of protein. If you resistance train and do not consume quality protein then your body can not build lean muscle. 3lbs of lean muscle will increase your metabolism to burn an additional 3500 calories per month=1lb of fat. Through out the day you will gain and lose approx.+/- 5lbs. If you weigh right before you eat and right after, you will gain the weight of the food you just ate. If you weigh right before and after you go to the restroom, you will lose the amount of waste you eliminated. You say you "gain weight quick, even if it's water". This is not weight gain or weight loss. The body is made up of organs, muscle, skin, fat, bones, etc. It's important to focus on how to lose only the fat. If you eat too little, your body will use it's own muscle (converted to glycogen) as fuel. This reduces your metabolism. Look to change your ratios of Proteins, Carbs and Fats in your diet. Your body needs all 3. 40% of your calories should come from Protein, 40% from carbs, and 20% from fat. Each gram of protein=4 cal, Carbs=7cal/gm, Fat=9cal/gm. As a female you need approximately .6-.8 grams of protein per kg of body weight to feed your lean muscle. This equals 32-45 grams per day (ideally spread over 4-5 servings not all at one time) If you have further questions, please go to www.888getlean.com

It takes 6 months for your bodys metabolism to change and the 2 Ibs you see is most likely water weight. fruits and all these things contain lots of water which with exstensive workouts tells your body to maintain don't fret that, keep doing what your doing and by next year you are going to have a body everyone envys but you have to be patient also understand crutches and exersises burns fat yes but it also builds mucsle strenth which is going to make it seem like your gaining weight but really you are toning.
