The brother is driving me mad!!! It seems like he is always 'getting' at me. My boyfriend keeps telling me not to worry about it. The lastest thing is that he took the batteries from my remote control in my bedroom without asking. He blatently used this battery for his torch but won't admit to it. My boyfriend says just to take it back but it is the principle of the matter. what shall I do?

I would confront him on the issue and ask him simply why he took the batteries without asking you. Then I would take them back after the confrontation is over.

Tell him he owes you this amount for the batteries, pay up. Then tell him to stop taking your stuff without asking. If the direct approach does not work after a week. Then embarrass him in front of a group of people by saying something to the subject of him just helping himself to your stuff. Then laugh, and say, God you don't borrow my panties to do you. (Something anything really you want to say, not necessarily that but you get my drift) If embarrassment doesn't work, then maybe you should get your own pad with boyfriend.
Good Luck!

Take the batteries back, and then placed a lock on the outdoors of your room (one with a key) so once you go away he won't be able to get in, and do not provide a replica on your boyfriend. tell him you desire some privateness and also you don't get exhilaration from human beings going into your room and taking issues without asking. in the different case, you may want to continually flow out and discover an condo of your human being.

Just take the batteries back and let it go.

There will be bigger issues and if you keep on about batteries you will show your boyfriend a petty side of yourself.

Stash em if necessary when you go out.

My advice, try not to put your boyfriend in the middle this will only bring unneccesary stress to your relationship. If you have been dealing with this for several yrs you should be used to it by now.If he continues to use your things without asking,i agree with your boyfriend, just go and get them back,or hide them until you are ready to use them.Good luck God bless:O)

tell your boyfriend either his brother goes or you do. I wouldn't put up with it. My husbands brother lived with us and the situation was very similar. I kicked him out and told him to go home. I couldn't stand it any more. Eventually it will come between you and your boyfriend if you don't take care of the situation.

Put a padlock on the outside of your bedroom door, and make sure to take it INSIDE the room with you when your in there so he doesn't lock you in. If you can't, and your boyfriend won't put his foot down, you don't need to live there. sorry.

It sounds like you & your BF need a place of your own (unless your BF is currently the guardian of his brother ?)
