Here are a few places near to Alton Tower. This is all off the top of my head so you'll have to ring directory enquiries for the phone numbers.
The Alton Bridge Hotel, Alton
The Bulls Head Inn, High Street, Alton
The Lord Shrewsbury Hotel, Alton
The White Hart Inn, High Street, Alton
The Old School House, High Street, Alton
The Peakstones Inn, Ashbourne Road, Threapwood
If you need any more info I'm sure I could rack my brains a little more.
Good luck

Try 'Ye Olde Dun Cow' in a village called Colton, it's about 20 mins drive from Alton Towers, lovely village, very friendly B and B/pub. They have a web site, have a look.

My parents live in the village, I love going back.

You could try the Travelodge in Uttoxeter. If you don't mind sharing beds, you could all get into 2 family rooms for a bargain price. Breakfast is served in the Little Chef next door.
