After years of a spotless driving record we totaled our car. Then less than 3 months later we totaled the replacement car. Every time we have to come up with a down payment we drain our savings. I'm a religious person but i can't figure out why we have to keep going through this. They say God wants what's best for us but lately it's been hard to swallow that.

My heart goes out to you because I have been where you are right now. Let me say this....in our situation we found that it was not that God was punishing us but that we needed to be more dependent upon Him and not on ourselves. He always provides the things that His children need....the thing that is hard for us as human beings is that we are impatient and we want it NOW! It's like praying sometimes, "Lord, give me patience....and give it to me NOW!". I have learned not to pray for patience because honey let me tell you...He'll give it to you.

We also found upon looking back...the times when things seemed the darkest were the times that we as a family were striving to seek God's will in our lives. We were praying together more and studying together more and let me tell you this....when you and your spouse begin to do that the enemy takes notice. He doesn't want you to be closer to God. He doesn't want your family to be God oriented or to make a difference for God and His kingdom....so he sends his little messengers to distract you. Sounds to me like you are under spiritual attack for some reason and believe me...it is not from God. The thing that got me through the trials that we were going through was this thought:

I look at the trial itself and the darkness that seems to surround us. I feel as though I'm encased in this thick, dense fog and I can't see 2 feet in front of me....but through the fog I can hear my Lord telling me, "Come on, I know you can get through this....just have faith and trust in Me." He is our biggest cheerleader and He is there cheering us on through the trial and on the other side we can see His smile as He says, "Well done. I knew you could do it."

Please stay focused on Him. Take all your worries to Him. Your husband and you need to pray together so that you hear each others concerns for worries...it helps draw you closer to each other but more importantly it draws you closer to God. Don't let the enemy have a foot hold....fight back with the spiritual armor that God has given you...and always call upon the name and power of Jesus and He will see you through this and the blessings will come. I promise you.

Praying for you and your family in Jesus name....

God bless you, my friend.

God doesn't cause cars to wreck and you know it.

However, it might be worth it to take a look at your car insurance situation--if someone else caused the accidents then their insurance will cover the replacement. But since you have to come up with down payments each time, the accidents must be your fault.

Since the accidents are your fault... then... well, that definitely would be your fault and not God's.

What is really going on? It seems like you are trying to blame God for your mistakes.

Maybe god just likes to play with people. You know he has nothing to do one day and thinks I'll stick it to those people.

Why do we assume that when things go good or bad in life God as any thing to do with it? That kind of thinking goes back to Roman and Greek times. Maybe before that. Could it be just your driving ability? Are you driving defensively? I have driven a motorcycle for years with no accident's. Why because I watch out for the other person that is not paying attention.
Bottom line. Lets Stop blaming God, and take some responsibility for our selves.

Look at who is doing the driving, who or what was the other factor, and where were you going when it happened.
Should God be talking to you, maybe you should not be in the town you are in, or maybe you are not financially able to own a car right right now.
Insurance, GAS, upkeep, etc..
Sometimes, we become so dependant, we take things for granted.
Do you have bus service where you are at?
Are you looking for work, and maybe transpotation is an option?

Look around and ask, what you need and where you are going.
The answers could be many, but do not judge God, or his wisdom, based on your own understanding.

Proverbs 20:24
"The Lord guides our steps, so why try to understand everything along the way?"

Ecclesiastes 7:14-15
"Accept the way God does things, for who can straighten what He has made crooked? Enjoy prosperity while you can, but when hard times stike, realize that both came from God..."

I don't think God is punishing you but He might have lead you into the spiritual dessert where your faith will be tested. (1 Peter 1:7)

The reason your swallowing hard at this is because your being tested as fire tests and purifies gold and your going to have to endure all of this.

Remmeber when Jesus said,
Matthew 24:13

"But the one who stands firm to the end will be saved."

God wants you to become even more stronger than you are now. He wants to take you up into heaven so He is allowing this to happen. He is doing this because He loves you. Keep doing His will its hard but with Jesus Christ who lives within you, you have the strength.

Isn't it called a test of faith, if you unsure then go into your faith a bit more deeply, maybe God telling you that you doing something wrong find out what it is.

Some people even start researching oter faiths for this as maybe God telling them they in the wrong faith.

Or may the cars are just crap??

i assume that must be seen guided freewill. providing you with the rope yet secretly stunning your self once you at the instant are not likely alongside the course they needed. i do no longer comprehend in case you watch Supernatural or any has, yet they advise a rather thrilling concept approximately God and freewill. That freewill is an phantasm. i come across it extra advantageous to have confidence that all and sundry has freewill and the innovations and judgements they make negate the implications they face. it relatively is extra advantageous than thinking all your life in case you do no longer settle for God you bypass to Hell.

Instead of looking to religion for the answer, perhaps you should consider taking personal responsibility for what has happened. Careless or reckless driving isn't an act of God, it's an act of carelessness and oftentimes, stupidity.

God doesn't punish or cause vehicular accidents. Operator error and not paying attention to the road is what causes accidents.
