Both. God isn't against doctors...in fact He created medicine. The Apostle St. Luke was a medical doctor.

The trick, as always, is to know God's will. Neither prayer and/or a doctor will necessarily cure you. God's will is always done...regardless of what one prays for or how skilled the doctor is.

At any given moment, there are millions of Christians throughout the world praying for the sick. Therefore, by your own logic, every person who has been "cured" by a doctor has in fact been cured as a result of these folks' prayers.

The opposite side of the equation is those people who are severely depressed or suicidal...and ask God to "take their lives, now!" Rarely do those people drop dead on the spot.

I don't necessarily believe in either. The only 100% guaranteed prayer is a prayer that God's will be done.

Most certainly the Doctors and Medical science.

How could I accept the help of a non-entity who cannot hear prayers because it does not exist?

If I am in ruthless US that denies the right to universal health care regardless of the size of your credit card, I'd go to a prayer group. Since I'm in Canada which is a more just and fair country, I can (and do) take my prayers along to my doctors.

It's been proven now praying does not help the healing process.

I'm going to have to just not answer the question since there would only be one available answer.

The doctors as my family would already be praying.

I'll take the doctors ... I can do my own praying if necessary.

Prayer is not what heals people, it is faith that heals them.

"Your faith has healed you"

"Rise and walk, your faith has set you free"

Well maybe it would be time to simply allow myself to cease to exist...
