some of the posts, some of which are quite rude and offensive - and yet the internet is suppose to be a tool of the devil?

Who said the internet is a tool of the Devil? It is a tool of man. There are some particularly good sites as well as some decidedly iffy ones. As far as insulting posts are concerned, why should Christians avoid them? We are not easily upset by other people's views, insults or abuse. We find our sense of self-worth through God, who sent His Son to die so that our sins will be forgiven. If God values us that much, why should we worry about what any person might say?

The Internet, like anything on this planet, if used improperly, can be a "tool of the devil". It all depends on how a person uses the implements available to him/her.

Not all "religious people" are on here doing the work of the devil. MANY are here trying to learn and help others with whatever they can. Part of being a Christian is to help others. Although the Internet is full of people who are rude and offensive, there are those who are genuinely seeking answers... this is where you actually see a good question asked and can receive a good answer.

Good luck with your adventures in life and may God bless you.

Such a load of rubbish!

Only very very devout and out of touch religious people call the internet 'the tool of the devil'.

And as to there being rude and offensive posts on here: where do you live your normal life? Everybody is subjected to offensive material everywhere in life. Unless you live surrounded by religious people, you will hear people swearing every day. The actual level of offensive/rude comments on here is actually fairly low.

Who says the internet is the tool of the devil? The church lady from Saturday Night Live?

I'm praying for our freedom sista, the devil doesn't like us having to much freedom. Only when perverts and weirdos use it does it become a tool of the devil.

just about anything can be a tool of the devil if you let it be, the internet can become dangerously addictive, like drugs, gambling etc. It's addiction which is Satan's tool, the internet is just one of his mediums.

Internet is the tool of the devil only when it is not used by church.
If it is used by church to rob and brainwash people (etc.) then it is the tool of god. You silly atheist.

There are a ton of people trying to convert peopl to atheism. I think that's just stupid personally. They spend all of their time on this site insulting Christianity. I personally am a strong Christian and do find it offensive. Jesus loves you!
