1 Border Collie & Austriailian Shepherd
2 Poodle

Do you think these "Dog Assessers" used the Stanford-Binet Intelligence Tests to get these results???? LOL -no
PS..I just want to add there are exceptions to all breeds! And indiviuals will always feel their Dog is the smartest of them all!

Actually, since the Poodle originated in Germany (and not in France), it's pretty much a moot point.
Poodles were popular water retrievers in France, but they weren't developed there!

you would think that shepards would be smarter since they use them for police dogs and everything. I guess it would be hard to picture a poodle being a police dog! lol
