It's also not too far from Atlanta so if you wanted to you could go to Buckhead and check out the bars and resturants there. I say go to the Tavern at Phipps Plaza, great food & drinks, entertaining bartenders and some great looking girls working & drinking there.
Do you play poker? If so there are a lot of bars that have free tournaments around Duluth.

Duluth is a suburb of Atlanta and has your typical suburb type things. There's a big mall, Gwinnett Place Mall, but I hear it's gone downhill. There are some restaurants and bars, I don't think they have many nightclubs. If you like outdoor types of things, Lake Lanier is not too far. You can go hiking, fishing, boating. Stone Mountain is about half an hour away. The mountains are about an hour away. And Atlanta, of course, is about 45 minutes away (depending on traffic). As long as you have a car, you're good.

It looks like there are events that happen in Duluth, but you need to be there while they are there, so that may not work for you. It doesn't seem to be that far from Atlanta...and there's all kinds of trouble for you to get into there! A co-worker, eh? I guess saying, "love the one you're with" would be so inappropriate!...lol.
Here's some info for you...

How far is that from Atlanta?
There is lots to do in Atlanta. I'm not sure about Duluth. But, if your co-worker is a "fun" type, I'm sure they have bars there. Go drinkin and live it up a little!
