You want proof? Read Romans chapters 1 and 2. Also, in Leviticus it says `life is in the blood' - don't you think George Washington would have liked for his physicians to have known this prior to attaching the blood-sucking leeches that drained his life from him. How about Job where it says `the skin of your teeth' as we now know there is a very fine film of skin on the teeth. These are FACTS from scriptures written over 2,000 years ago, and we are just `discovering some of these things today. My friend, God proves himself everyday, you just have to open the eyes of your heart.

There is no part of the Bible which could be considered "proof". Certainly a hygenic practice of washing hands is NOT a proof of Gods existence. Are you sure the word you are looking for is "proof"? Even the Bible tends to agree on this point - After all - If there was proof and people did not have to 'believe', then what would be the point of having faith? According to the Bible itself "faith is the evidence of things not seen", and Webster's Ninth New Collegiate Dictionary (nothing special, just the one I have on my bookshelf) says Faith is "a firm belief in something for which there is no proof"...

Washing hands is part of a ritual and not a proof of God's existence. The Bible doesn't bother about that and providing proof for God it's not its point. The Bible just declares God. That's it. Since it is not a scientific text but a narrative its preoccupations roam around different meadows.

The most important part about believing in God is "believe." If you had been fortunate enough to be there when He parted the Red Sea or watched Moses strike the rock and watch water come out of it, then maybe it would be easier for you to believe in God. Yet even still, you would have to have faith and believe. The only proof exists in your heart and mind. If you don't believe there is a God, then you won't find proof. If you will open your heart and mind and let God in, He will do miracles in your life that will prove to you that He exists.

If your gullible enough to think that hand washing in the bible proves the existence of god, then you are gullible enough to believe what the bible says. Why not stop wasting your time on the bible and start studying real subjects to learn real facts.

If you want to explore the idea of "proof", then find the Summa Theologica by St. Thomas Aquinas.

The Bible is not about proof. It's an influencial philosophy designed for people who were extremely moved by the earthly work of a dude named Jesus who hailed from Nazareth.

Washing hands? I think that your standard for proof is FAR too low.

There is nothing in the bible that proves the existence of god. If there were any proof for the existence of god, we'd all know it by now.

There are NO parts of the Bible which provided the kind of scientific proof some people are seeking. The existence of God is based on steadfast FAITH. Faith is belief in what is unseen.
