They calculated that you can burn about an extra 6000 calories a YEAR by drinking ice water. Big whoop -- less than 1 kg!
The only benefit of drinking water is that you aren't drinking something with more calories. (It DOES NOT "flush" fat out of your system, no matter how much you drink!)

More water than necessary will... dissolve you. Oops, in a way.
It is quite unbelievable, but people can be addicted to water, as well as to any other unsuspected things. So, advices like "drink all the water you need, as soon as you feel thirsty" could go as bad as one can (or not) presume... Try carrying a liter or two of water OUTSIDE your body, when walking a pair of miles a day - and drink some at the end of the task. You will slim, for sure.

The only thing that will do is make you feel full, and so making you not want to eat as much. It can be dangerous however, if you dont replentish the nutrients you are flushing out. If you are opposed to physical activity, try to eat foods high in fiber, they take more effort to digest, and usually are lower in calories, and stick with you longer. Also if you do not like excersizing take the stairs instead opf the elevator, or park farther away, so you dont have to run and swaet, but you still burn more calories.

is that all you are going to eat /drink why don't you follow a heathy food guide balance your daily intake to match your daily needs. and whether you like it or not physical activity is necessary although it doesn't have to be boring. ie basketball swimming instead of pumping irons ect. Aim for a heathy lifestyle not just to be slim for the sake of slim. Good health is much more important and that envolves so much more than physical looks or starving yourself to keep up with miss twiggy

Water is not a diet drink. It is a substance your body requires to function. I would guess not drinking water would slim you down.

It'll help keep you hydrated while you pick up the physical activity... you're not gonna lose any weight unless you get more active...

On the plus side.. Once you start exercising, you'll actually want to eat less too.

LOL, no... Drinking water just makes you feel full, so it's not a bad thing, but there's nothing inherently in water that will help you lose weight.

It just seems self evident by drinking a lot of water your stomach would feel more full most of the time. Thus you would eat less.
