It's funny, In-laws never think you're good enough. My In-laws can't even spell college, yet I'm the dumb one. lol.

I get along great with my mother in law and even if she lived close instead of 5000 miles away I'd still say that. We have a good relationship. My father in law (he is divorced from my mother in law) I do not see or talk to as my husband has decided not to have any relationship with him. I could get along with him in social situations but he isn't the type I'd ever be real chummy with.

My MIL is the Anti-Christ! Gawd the stories I could tell you about this woman! I just don't allow her in my life, our home or involve her in any of our plans. My husband agrees with me. However My husband still goes and sees her..(I wouldn't want it any other way since I do respect the fact that he had no choice in who his mother was and I know he loves his mother). My FIL is great! He comes over all the time and we enjoy having him. It drives MIL nuts that she is not allowed in our home but hey she made the choice to treat me like dirt from day 1- so now 5 years later I still make her live with her choice! If your In-laws don't like you - BIG DEAL! You married your spouse not the family anyway!

I get along fine with my in-laws. I don't agree with them on everything they do but I know enough that it's not my place to "fix" them and they return the favor. They're fun people actually, though I'm not sure I'll ever really confide in them like I do my own parents. But it's a good thing we get along since they only live like 4 miles away.

They make me miserable because they are poor, alcoholic, can't hold a job, "take, take, take" people. Because my husband and I work hard they expect us to fix things or "help out" because they don't have money but yet won't keep a job. They aren't loving, kind people. I so could do without seeing them for months! Wouldn't miss them at all!

I know inlaws are a pain to get along with or even be with, sometimes they just want to put you on the test, so as to see as, to what extend your anger or how hot your temper rises, sometimes they just want to prove what kind of preson you are on the inside ,so just concertrate on making your man happy and not what his stupid family says, coz its him you followed and not them, but for those you have seen that they are a problem from start tell them off, then tell your man about it see what he says..........so yes i get along with my inlaws

I got on with them during my marriage and still get on with them after i got divorced from their daughter.
It was me who used to wind them up though by calling them OUTLAWS instead of inlaws.
