The more questions you have, the more you need to study. Believe it or not, studying can create more questions that creates more studying -- and, in the end, creates a deeper, more wonderful belief. I was one of only 6 women at an (almost) all male seminary for this very reason. It wasn't that I had questions as I just wanted to know more about Jesus. The more I learned, the more I wanted to know. I even learned Biblical Greek so I could read the New Testament in the original language.

Questions give you the opportunity to learn and grow. Unfortunately, many people just walk away from religion altogether because they don't want to put in the effort to learn. Then they just classify themselves as "spiritual, not religious". Well, no kidding. Everyone has a spirit -- not everyone works to make it grow in faith and lead a fuller, better life!

Questioning things all the time is great, good for you. Very few people have the ability to question their own thoughts or beliefs, when they do they usually go into fields like science, because you need to be not so blind or stubborn to be a scientist.

I get a lot of answers that don't agree with my beliefs, I READ a lot of statements that don't agree with my beliefs, and it is great, because it gives me the chance to see views other than my own, and try to understand things that I was not taught, which broadens my horizons and gives me more knowledge and more wisdom.

When I question things, I then research it on my own, not just take someones word for it, I do this even with my own beliefs.

It is amazing how very little any of us know, and yet we think we have all the right answers. You can never find the truth by just sitting back and not looking into things, no matter what the subject.

If you would love to 'believe' then consider this, Jesus said to doubt and seek truth for ourselves. Obviously that proves to me that he knew if we would search for the truth instead of just taking everyones word for it (because that has been compromized over the years) that we would find it. Those who don't want you to know the truth tell you not to look for it, tell you it's not there, try to hide it. (like all the years of Bible burnings and hiding Biblical documents), Many times the truth does not come from without us but from within us. Because you have to ask yourself what were they trying to hide in doing that? It's not like it was ponography or anything.

There have been times when I did not get an answer that I was waiting for, or the answer from God was "no". I think it is easy to question God or beliefs about God because He is not right there in our faces. The whole thing boils down to faith. I know God hears me when I pray...He may not always give me what I want, but I always have what I need, I've told people that if they want God to show them that He is real to ask Him to show you something specific....like "God, if you love me and can hear me, please show me a hawk today." Once you see the hawk--and you will--go find a loving church that will show you more. It is really hard to find the church that is just right for you, so don't give up after just one look. It takes a while. Take care!

When Jesus called me, my husband made me question everything, and I looked at other faiths too, but as I'd already 'met' with Jesus and therefore I know Him and know that the Bible is true, I could not be swayed from following Him. Nobody can take away our experiences of meeting with the living God, any more than they could make you deny meeting your best friend. What's true will remain true no matter how weird, unpopular or painful it may be. It is good news after all!

Take for instance what I believe
Acts 4:12 Neither is there salvation in any other:for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

1Thessalonians 5:21 Prove all things hold fast that which is good.
Have a Blessed Life and read your Bible everyday, this is a daily walk.

It is pretty understandable for most of us question everything. That is why God said if you do not believe in Me like a child you will not get into the Kingdom of Heaven. The reason is because as children we accept what we are told. As we started to grow up we want evidence for everything and a reason for things we are told. Religion is being able to put you ideas aside and start believing like a child.

Yes, I asked many questions about my beliefs. I also asked questions about others beliefs and I looked into the nature of belief, itself. I looked at not only religious beliefs but why people believe such garbage as UFO's and ESP.

That's why I am now an atheist. I've realized how easy it is for beliefs to be based on untruth. The human mind is really quite amazing.

es i was brought up going to Sunday school etc, only as an adult did i start to question . i have read so many books and tried to get other peoples opinions, but still describe myself as agnostic.

i have met some sincere Christians who seem to have that peace we all look for, and i do envy them, unfortunately i cannot blindly have faith.

amongst the books i have read, i read that ,if you doubt and question , and that once you are a beleiver again, you will be very firm in your faith.

hope you find what you are looking for.

Yes, I have. But then I always try to remember that everything we hear really only comes from someone else's beliefs. I always think it best to go with what feels right for you. I used to question all the time too - now I sort of listen more. Maybe at last I am becoming more comfortable with my beliefs.
