God is a reflection of man = a projection of ourselves. Is that what you mean?
I don't know about never learning from our mistakes. We do it all the time. The problem is that there are soooo many mistakes we can make that it's impossible not to make one. And we are very forgetful.
It's as impossible as one person knowing everything there is to know. The world is far too complex, which is why we have so many who know so much about so little :-)
This reminds me of quantum physics which says you can walk thru a wall - well, so long as you can get all your particles to do it at the exact same time! LOL In effect, it's 'impossible', and in that sense, not only is it 'impossible' for the whole of humanity not to make any mistakes, it's 'impossible' for any one person not to make any (begging your pardon to all the Christians - I know, I know, Jesus was perfect)
