Hi
I use to hurt myself about things as well. Normally its people that does this to you!!! They make you angry, sad, depressed or just plain mental. I just decided that I will not lett them hurt me anymore!! Beacause their not worth all the pain. You should ask yourself the same queastion...Is what your doing to yourself really worth it??? Is cutting your wrists, hitting yourself whatever really worth it. Are those poeple or things that make you mad really worth it? What makes them so special??? I dont know if my advise will help but just know that I dont think it's worth iT!!!

I found the best way to handle this is to find something else to take your aggression out on, (such as a heavy bag, or a pillow) and get a journal to write down and work through your feelings. Or as I do, go to the gym and run until you are too tired to be angry. I had self mutilation problems in the past, and that's how i stopped. It also helps if u have a professional counselor to go see.

You need to get your anger under control. You can take anger management classes or you can talk to a professional that can help you gain that control.
Hitting yourself in the head like that to the point that it causes you to see flashing lights and get headaches is not a good thing. You could cause yourself permanant damage. If you hit yourself hard enough or long enough you could cause bruising of your brain if it is hit hard enough to come in contact with your skull. You need to be more careful.
Good luck in the future.

You need to contact your local emergency room or your family physician. This behavior you are describing isn't a healthy way of releasing anger, and can cause problems. Get off the computer and go to the phone and call 911. Trust me, if you do this, you will get the help you need to quit doing this. Do it for yourself before you wind up causing some major damage. There is no reason to hit yourself.

Exercise...
If you get upset about something/someone...go run, do some push ups until muscle failure, do sit ups until you can't sit up anymore. Do jumping jacks until you can't jump anymore.
All the pent up frustration will wear a person down (personal experience)...just exercise.
It will help you out, trust me, I've been where you have been. Lets just say, I feel sorry for all the walls I've torn down, all the fridges that have tons of dents. Don't hurt yourself in a bad way. Do something that will make you hurt but in a good way.

before you start to self-medicate, you must see a physciatrist 1st.
only when you have the medicine from the doctor then you start to "self-medicate" by taking your medicine regularly.
whatever and no matter what, do not stop your medication abruptly because it might have side effects.
i have depression and every so often i might stop my medication but it didn't work out and my depression came back. so now i make it a habit to take my medicine and pray to heaven that i can lead a normal life.

You're hurting yourself? why?
You are a human being entitled to life's pleasures, please get help immediately. Talk to a friend, consult your family... they will be behind you 120%! And if the condition worsens, get professional help. Don't destroy your life by hurting yourself. Everyone is too precious for that.

Stop it, of course. If you can't, see a therapist for anger management classes and/or other types of treatment.
