make strawberry smoothies every spring, summer & fall!
Get out your blender;
1/2 cup water
3 Tablespoons non-fat dry milk powder
Sugar to taste; usually about 3 to 4 Tablespoons
2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
FROZEN STRAWBERRIES:(in the frozen fruit section of your grocery store)
2 tablespoons Malt Powder (optional)
***Take the water, dry-milk powder, sugar, vanilla, & malt ( if you wish), Add them to your blender, & mix to blend & dissolve the sugar.
Cut the FROZEN STRAWBERRIES in 1/2, start up the blender again, & add a few strawberries at a time, let them get well ground up in the blender, then add more, until the smoothie is very thick, ( I ADD THE MALT POWDER, BECAUSE IT TASTES GOOD IN A SMOOTHIE,& THERE ISN'T ANY ICE CREAM IN THIS smoothie, & IT HAS THE FLAVOR & THICKNESS OF A MALT. :))
DURING THE SUMMER, WE NEED SOMETHING COLD TO DRINK, THAT ISN'T FATTENING, ALL OF THE TIME, THAT'S WHY I MADE THIS ONE & I'VE LIKE IT EVER SINCE
INGREDIENTS:
8 strawberries, hulled
1/2 cup skim milk
1/2 cup plain yogurt
3 tablespoons white sugar
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
6 cubes ice, crushed
DIRECTIONS:
In a blender combine strawberries, milk, yogurt, sugar and vanilla. Toss in the ice. Blend until smooth and creamy. Pour into glasses and serve.

I am a bit of a smoothie maniac at the moment. It really depends on how sweet the strawberries are but if you blend about 3 times as much strawberry to yogurt that is usually the right amounts. Add some milk to help the belender get started and if the strawberries are not so sweet then add a spoonful of honey or sugar.
If you want a super smoothie though I can heartly reccomend mango and melon. Just take the flesh of both in equal messures and blend with a little water. It really is like drinking sunshine. Not water melon though as it is too seedy.

2 tablespoons peanut butter, 2 cups of apple sauce, about 8 strawberries and a little milk, and BLEND! its also really good with a banana and a tiny bit of grenadine to boost the strawberry. if you don't have grenadine, use robinsons cordial or some sort of berry syrup. This is the best recipe I've found!

You could make it with milk, ice cream, yognurt, soya milk or juice as a base, chuck in loads of strawberries and maybe some banana if you want it extra thick, then blend. Experiment to see what you like best.
