I agree with the death penalty.
I think it should be expanded to include rapists and child molesters as well as the current class of scum who face the death penalty.
Why? Well there are a certain group of criminals who no longer deserve to live. I think basically it is the ones who rob others of their lives. Rapists rob women of their lives by making them fear. Molesters rob children of their lives by giving them virtually no chance of understanding what is normal behavior. I've known victims of both and they did not have lives, they were alive, but had no normal ability to function as a person without fear or anxiety about nearly everything.

I would agree with the death penalty if the criminal justice system were perfect. Since it is not, I simply cannot agree to an incorrectable punishment method. I do feel that the death penalty should only be allowed in cases where the evidence concretely shows the accused is guilty and that judges (not juries) should decide the sentence.

ABSOLUTELY!!!!!! The only unfortunate part of the death penalty is that it has to be pain free and humane.... Needless to say that those being sentenced to death did not do the same to their victims.
Criminals have more rights than the victims and I think that is a joke to what this country was founded on.

Yes. Eye for an eye baby. Costs less in the long run than keeping them alive for 20-30 years depending on the sentence & whether the state has parole.
Kill them back!!!!!

Hayseedless - I hope your answer is sarcastic. If not, that is the most ignorant thing I've ever heard. It takes a LONG time, and LOTS of evidence to be able to punish someone by death. You or me could be killed by the government, but one of us would have to kill someone in a really nasty way, and then leave a sh*t load of evidence for the investigators to find so they could have a solid case... Oh! and confess to it, too!
OMG......
I am a fan of the penalty by the way!

Yes, you take a life you should have your taken away. Life in prison is no justice when a person is murdered, what about the families especially if a child was murdered. Electric chair or bring back hanging. Just wish us in the UK would use these penelties. We are too soft.

Yes. There are a lot of criminals who cannot be rehabilitated. Expert manipulators, they have no true remorse and will always be a threat to others. Why is it kinder to keep them caged for the rest of thier lives at tax payers' expense? Predators will still find a way to prey on others even behind bars.

Death penalty is a deterrent in the commission of crimes because the would be malefactors will think twice of committing a crime punishable by death.
