It is normal for a healthy person to have at least one bowel movement a day.

Waste material is produced throughout the day and will be expelled.

It's a bit concerning that you normally go once a week. What sort of diet are you on.

If you are constipated then try a mixture of senna and raw sweet corn. Guaranteed to get you bowel into overdrive.

You are not abnormal for going once a week. I do too. I have a friend who doesn't go for 2 weeks. THAT'S ABNORMAL, even if that is his system.

As a child my gut was always slow, so your body basically does what IT wants. I am working, however, on going more often. It is a good thing that you are going every day. Maybe you're no longer anxious about some issue or another? It's hard to say. But keep it up. It's mostly normal to go either every day or every other day.

To be healthy, you should have bowel movement 1 to 3 times a day, once a week is not a sign of good health, more like poor diet! To have a healthy gut, you should eat plenty of fibres (fruit and veg. are the best) and drink at least 1,5L of clear water (and I mean clear, no tea, coffee, juice, etc.) a day. Nowadays, most kids don't go to the loo as often as they should because they eat too much carbs and not enough fresh stuff.
Since you don't think you've changed your diet, it could just be down to stress (more or less of it) or more exercise...

Any change to bowel movements should really be checked out by your doctor. A lot of other factors have to be taken into consideration like your age etc
Its better to get checked out probably doesn't mean very much at all but alays best to seek adavice from a professional.

This is really good news for you. You should go at least once a day to be healthy, you don't want it sitting around in you for more than 12 hrs really.

As for why it is happening not a clue. Are you sure you haven't been drinking more water or eating more fruit or stretching and exercising more? These could have an affect.

Now you should just hope it continues!

An apple a day keeps the doctor away...meaning, it is much healthier to be going once a day than once a week..now if you have diarrhea, you might have got a bug of some sort,....but our bodies change all the time, wether or not we do anything or not...but obviously, if it worries you...then you know what to do.

Actually, you're reporting good news to the world. If you can only normally go once a week then either there's something wrong with you which needs to be seen by a Doctor OR stop shoving that cork up your jacksie!

The bowls can be very erratic at times, but if you haven't changed your diet or life style it could be down to a tummy bug that you've picked up or maybe some unconscious anxiety that your body is reflecting.
I wouldn't worry about it too much unless it becomes painful or you can see blood in your poo... in which case take a trip to the doc!! Take it easy buddy..x

It's better to have one, than not to. Your probally eating more fiber, and losing weight, I would not worry, this is suppossed to be a good thing as long as it is not diarrehea. You are suppossed to have a bowel movenment everyday. Your body changes every 7 years...
