Diet and burn calories (fat). Crunches, etc. would not do much but build muscle UNDER the layer of fat. Cut out the junk food! You have to set your mind frame first because without that you won't stick to it. Its not going to happen over night. Ask people to help you stick to it. No fat food! Get your mind right first, then ride the bike a little everyday. Quit taking the easy way and walk the short distances you drive or take the stairs. Without dieting though fat over muscle is still fat.

Crunches(not a full sit up just enough to lift shoulders off the floor). If you drink alot of beer cut back. Watch how much of and what you snack on as well.

the way to sort a potbelly is cook him on a spit, good high temp, and keep him rolling he'l soon disappear, if your hungry enough...
