Ok, The people at this place wants me to be a student ambassador? watever that is. I'm 13 and they want me to go to Japan foe 2 weeks. Should I go. If I do go I'll be paired up with a highschool student and then when we get there I'll still be with that person a go climbing up halfway of Mt. Fugi is that like a really long hike? I can't decide if I should go. I'm the only one of the people I know and I'll be all alone on the plane and there. No adult, unless u consider the 12 grader I'lll be with. Help?

Yes, I believe you should go. It's always good to travel out of your home country. Things like this will give you more of a perspective about the world around you. You'll learn news things, hear a different language, experience a different culture, and so on. If you get tired of hiking/climbing up Mt. Fuji, then tell the person you're with that you need to take a break. I went on a summer exchange program when I was 17 and it was one of the best and most memorable experiences of my life. I knew I changed when I came back, because I had to deal with the situation I was in. I didn't even talk to my host family before I got there, because they were assigned to me a week prior. It was scary being on a plane with total strangers, but I managed to handle it. This is a time when hopefully you can rely on the other person (12th grader) a bit for comfort, since they're pretty much in the same shows. And since you are partners, you won't be alone, so don't worry about that. Anyway, so yes, it was scary, but many things are scary, especially when you haven't experienced something like that before. Take this as an opportunity for you to grow. Also, if you decide to go to college, this is something you can refer to in your application essay.

I think you should go. It's going to be an experience you will always remember, trust me.
I don't know exactly what student ambassador means but a calculated guess is that you will be some sort of student representative for your school or your state etc.
The japanese students will probably ask you how it is to live in your country, how it is to study etc.
When you get back home you will have to brief your classmates about how it is to live in Japan or something like that.
The main reason with student ambassadors is information sharing, learning about other countries and cultures and making friends.
So yep, I think you should go because I think you will have a lot of fun and your friends will probably be envious ;-)
Just don't forget the camera!

This sounds like one of the most wonderful, fantastic, super, once in a lifetime opportunities...don't miss it!
The reason you climb half of Mt. Fuji is that the bus drives you halfway up and you start there. The climb up is usually predawn so it's dark and cold- wear a down jacket. It's timed so that when you get to the top you will be able to see the sun rise, so bring a camera. Watch the climb down, that's the most difficult part on your feet, shin and calf muscles.
I lived in Japan for two years and I have a Japanese wife, so please contact me with any questions you have.

Normally a trip like that costs thousands of dollars. Do you get to go for free? If the answer is yes, and your parents are OK with it, then GO. If you wait until you're out of school to do this, it will cost you a buttload of money.
Plus while you are there you will see and learn things you could never learn in school.
