My country Ghana is 50 years in 2007. To comemorate the occation I want to produce a Documentary video looking at the 50years from cultural perspective and especially the role of women over the the period. Also chieftancy, the transformation it had undergone and the role it has played in championing the course of democracy in Ghana.
I need funding and want to write a proposal to some financing institutions. Please give me a format or a model I can follow.

When I was applying for a grant a few years back a good and experienced friend of mine told me to make sure I included all of the ways I had tried to raise my own money for my project...to show how serious I was and that I have a past record for being a serious hard worker. No one wants to give your their money without knowing that.

tell them why your film is important, who you want the target audience to be and why they should help you .
