Hell no! In fact, the first few dates should not even surpass $40. Adhere to the $40 rule at all costs. It isn't because you are cheap or have no money. You don't want to spend a lot of money on the first dates because first dates is where you are supposed to get to know each other. Ask the personal questions. See if he or she is relationship material. Also by not spending more than $40 on a date and it doesn't work out between you two, then you are not out a whole lot of money.
For a $1000 you can get a high class escort and call it the day.

No! Remember you are not rich. Why spend a thousand bucks on one date and be broke for the next couple. A thousand bucks can get you a lot of dates. Keep your money. Spend with in reason. But don't be cheap too.
