you always have the chance of getting pregnant when not using contraceptives.

everyone's body is different- to find out when YOU have the best chance of not getting pregnant while not using contraceptives, go to a gynecologist or obstetrician. they can help you.

I asked my OBGYN the same question after my daughter. Apparently a woman is the most likely to get pregnant within the first few months after delivery when her hormones are still high, unless contraceptives are used of course. I actually had a friend get pregnant six weeks after giving birth.

The correct time to have sex w/o protection? Trying to get pregnant again? I'm assuming not. So obviously if you don't want to get pregnant, use protection.

Always use contraceptives, no matter how long or short a time it's been since you gave birth. If you don't want to use contraceptives, that would have to mean that a) you want another child, and b) you've both been tested recently for STD's (recently as in the last 6 months).
