One day at a time

If he has changed from the man that made those memorie so beautiful then that is what they are memories .. things of the past ..you need to live for the now and think of the days ahead .. do you see him in those days as the man he is now ? He may never go back to the man he was ...

I don't know enough about your lover to say whether he deserves a second chance. Regardless, cheating is a major deal breaker in a relationship because it is the ultimate violation of trust. It is probably in your best interest to move on. But don't try to erase those good memories. They are part of your life now and if they can still bring you an occasional smile, what's wrong with that? Why leave yourself with only the bitter memory of his unfaithfulness? Besides, no matter how hard we try, we can't erase unwanted memories, we can only "record" over them. A new love will help you do just that. Be patient and it will happen for you. Best wishes.

when i loved a girl, and I know i had to move on (and to forget her), I started making up things to hate her. Not that i spread roomers (all kept personal)), but i let my mind fester with all sorts of things which i percieved as wrongdoings by her. She could do nothing right, and everything she did annoyed me (in my mind). Took me 7 years, but i completely forgot any reason why i loved her. In fact by concentrating so much on hate and revenge, she had become a distant memory, one which has faded away to being no more than remembering her name and that in one stage of my life I did love her. I can't remember her face, what she did to make me love her, etc..
Pity it ruined my mind, so I can't remember much these days.
That's the risk you run if you try to forget (but i figure ignorance is bliss).
