Dali, Joan Miro, Diego Velasquez, and Picasso: all Spanish.
Some consider El Greco, although born in Crete, one of Spain's greatest artists.
I wouldn't say it is a racist comment; these are all heavy-hitters.

Jealous, maybe but not racist because you are not demeaning any race with your comment, Spain is not a race. What I'm puzzled about is who told you that there is a limit of visionary painters a country can produce? What you should be asking is why Spain has produced so many visionary painters and how can we do the same in our country.

To me, it just means that you haven't looked at a book about artists. There are visionaries from hundreds of different cultures
not just Spain. Uh, remember that place called...France...?

What race is a Spaniard?
The zenith of Iberian culture was built by pillaging Aztecs, plundering Incas, plus nobody expects a Spanish Inquisition!
