Representing the people of Indonesia I accept the wishes of ..... At this time when Indonesia celebrates it's independence and the birth of our great nation we continue to feel gratitude and bonds of friendship between our countries and hope that this will continue long into the future

Okay, here's my attempt...

"Your most kind wishes on the occasion of the anniversary of the Proclamation of Independence of Indonesia profoundly honor me/us. Please accept my/our sincere expression of gratitude for sharing in my/our joy and making this anniversary such a truly memorable occasion."

(Obviously you would need to use either "me" and "my" or "us" and "our", depending on whether you're replying just for yourself or for other people too.)
