Unless he has some extreme phobia about wa*king then I don't think it will affect you to much...you have to give him a hand!!!

Hope you are successful with your IVF programme and while your both waiting to move forward along the line maybe you could ask your husband to learn some breathing techniques or do some meditation to help with his anxiety, your doctor should be able to put you in touch with someone who can help your hubby with this and maybe it would benefit you too if your going to be pregnant soon, a lot of people suffer with anxiety and I can understand why your husband is suffering with it more so now than ever, don't be afraid to go to the doctors to seek help, the breathing techniques really do help, very good luck for your future.

I suggest you look at
www.ivfconnections.com/
where there are many people who have experienced ivf and have better answers than I can give.
I would expect that anxiety will cause problems, so its best to find a way for your husband to forget the implications, and just enjoy a sexual experience. His part is the easy one, (and enjoyable too if you help him!!) Have a few practices starting right now,.

Sorry I have no clue what ivf stands for. Sounds like your husband might need to go to the doctor and get some Valium or something.

IVF requires a lot of mental stability. The doctors should explain full implications of IVF,which will remove anxiety. In the normal course once full implications are known anxiety may not affect.

Anxiety would be more of a problem in you than in him.
It couldn't hurt - and it might reduce general levels of stress in the household - to have him use some simple relaxation techniques: a bit of exercise will probably help both his anxiety and his sperm production. I'd avoid him taking any kind of medication as this would probably cause more problems than it solves.
If it would help to talk to someone who's been through it, you could try contacting AceBabes

Best of luck - it's a long and difficult road, but incredibly worthwhile.

the easy answer is yes it will effect things as it effects everything in your lives but its more the waiting for results that will cause him anxiety rather than wanking in a cup and the waiting for it to come to term if your lucky enough that you get a viable foetus
