God decides the destiny of humans, human can't determine his destiny.
But destiny is not born with humans, destiny may change by human behavior.

neither. Destiny is simply one Path that we can either choose to follow or not. My destiny is as a writer. But I can choose to never pick up a pen again. However, knowing what my destiny is, I now know that my life would be far more fulfilled if I follow it. But no, at every step, I have free will and the ability to choose either right or wrong, the Path of Destiny or another Path.

There are two ultimate destinies: Eternal life or death of the soul.
We all die the first death and this is what happens next (my opinion)
The first resurrection (at christ second coming) is for those who have accepted eternal life.
The second resurrection (1000 years after second coming) is for the wicked to discover their evil, be judged and clleansed out of existance with fire from heaven (second death, it's permanent). Then Earth is renewed and the saints inherit the Earth.

LOL my funny opinions, here is more:
The way of life you chose in a sense does conrol your destiny, but you're the one who choses the way in the first place.

I think everybody have a choice or set of choices. There is a way of the least Resistance that we usually choose but you can try to choose the other way. This means that the less you depend on the situation the more you control it and whole your life too.

Your thoughts determine your destiny!

'Sow a thought, reap an action; Sow an action, reap a habit; Sow a habit reap a character; Sow a character, reap a destiny.'

Destiny is the outcome of life;
Character is who we are;
Habits are subconcious patterns of behavior.
Our destiny, or the outcome of our life, actually comes from our thoughts!

You don't control your destiny but God does!

So let Him change your thoughts!

Destiny can be controlled? I rather use the term manage. A person's destiny is affected by his/her decisions and the people that affects him/her or people affected by his/her decision...So in conclusion destiny can be manage.

Well, you can control certain little things. But I am a strong believer in predeterminism.

One of my favorite short stories is by William Somerset Maugham. It is called "Appointment in Samarra":

Death speaks: There was a merchant in Baghdad who sent his servant to market to buy provisions and in a little while the servant came back, white and trembling, and said, "Master, just now when I was in the marketplace I was jostled by a woman in the crowd and when I turned, I saw it was Death that jostled me. She looked at me and made a threatening gesture; now, lend me your horse and I will ride away from this city and avoid my fate. I will go to Samarra and there Death will not find me." The merchant lent him his horse, and the servant mounted it, and he dug his spurs in his flanks and as fast as the horse could gallop he went. Then the merchant went down to the marketplace and he came to me and said, "Why did you make a threatening gesture to my servant when you saw him this morning?"

"That was not a threatening gesture," I said, "it was only a start of surprise. I was astonished to see him in Baghdad, for I had an appointment with him tonight in Samarra."

You can make a concerted effort to get on the "right" path! You can choose your own set of values and beliefs in this wonderful country of ours! U S A!!!

However I do believe that our destiny is planned well in advance of our arrival on this planet.

Weird isn't it? So is the miracle of life!

We are masters of our own destinies. I'm sure we can. Decide what we want, plan for it, stick to the plan for the desired results.
