well you could go for walks with the children , or cinema in the mornings. swimming , parks, playgrounds if you are taking the children with you .... if it is just the 2 of you then you can do all this and more

Easy. Have a day at the zoo or if there is a circus coming to town that is always a nice thing to go to with a child. Now if you want to go out just the two of you, then you need to either get a babysitter or get grandma to take the kid off his hands for a few hours.

A great place to go is the zoo, or the Aquarium, if there's any fairs or carnivals in you area that would definately be good also.

plan a picnic at the park. u prepare everything - food, car, children's toys - and drag him out of his house one saturday you know he hasnt made other plans and is free.
