I used to go to a church in Montebello. I know it's not Alhambra, but it's not that far either.

OLMM is a wonderful church, the people there are very centered on God. At least that's how it was when I went there from 1987-1993. They have: YAM (Young Adult Ministries); choir; Bible study; Good Samaritan Lunch Program (at least back then it existed); Guadalupanas; RCIA - if you're not a full member of the Church, you can attend the RCIA to become a full member, and if you are a full member, you can teach; Catechism (you can teach there), and I can't remember what else there is there.
The people were very warm and kind, some of my fondest memories are from OLMM. Very warm and caring parishoners there. I hope you find what you need there.

It will give you a list of all the Churches in the area as well as their Mass and Confession Times and maps. It will also tell of Masses in different languages and so forth...great Catholic resource!! :)
