Say for example there is a nuclear war and civilisation has to rebuild itself. Whilst digging the foundations for a new home someone stumbles across a time capsule buried in the ground, inside is a Harry Potter book. Would those who read it preach to its values?

Will JK Rowling become God?

I absolutely agree with this. Although there may be another religion in the east based on The Lord Of The Rings. And the Potters will have a crusade against the Rings...................this is how all religions begin.

Well the bible was written by a group of men a few hundred years later.
But if civilisation has to rebuild itself chances are then a few will remember the bible,Koran or any other religious artefact's

And also would you go for a book in some ones basement or a bloody great big church, As I doubt if enough nuclear weapons could be set off to destroy every building on earth.

Harry's acceptance became no fluke. It became general via fact of it relatively is charm to all. toddlers grew up with Harry. Older people have been reminded of a youthful people that they had imagined. the certainty that Harry became no longer a familiar chip of the block of heroes yet somebody who unwillingly became one. Harry lost many alongside the way yet he in no way doubted the way he had to flow. Ron and Hermoine have been associates anybody wanted yet infrequently had. I mean what proportion people can boast that the associates we made as toddlers have been prepared to stay with us even to death? each and each e book is superbly crafted with little tid-bits here and there, some very correct yet we don't comprehend that till later. Its like each and every time you study it, it is an adventure all back. the various information we did no longer think touching directly to the 1st few cases. I undergo in techniques being a month far off from 11 and hoping Hagrid will come. That being pronounced, i do no longer comprehend no rely if it is going to likely be there 50 years from now or no longer, no rely if there will be some thing like that back however the certainty keeps to be Harry's warfare have been my warfare. I caught with him till the tip (and nevertheless do). For me it is going to consistently be there and for me there will be many books that i like yet none would be so heavily linked with my youthful people nor me. POTTER continuously!!!!!!!

Harry Potter is a fictional character. Jesus and Mohammed are actual persons. And J.K. Rowling has not founded a religion.

That would be doubtful. Jesus and Mohammad are historical figures and Harry Potter is clearly fiction. Generally religions form around similar polytheistic paterns in civilizations.

Jesus and Mohammed (pbuh) are historical characters. Harry Potter is fictitious, so no. You would have to be really off beam to take a work of fiction and turn it into a religion (apologies to Scientologists).

I am a big HP fan, love the stories! But what you are suggesting I think is beyond reality. The values could be taught but I don't think he or Rowling will be a god.

JK Rowling/Harry Potter will never become God, not even in his/her dreams,Jesus/Mohammad (PBH) are both prophets/Messengers of God/Allah. Those who preach otherwise are losers and unbelievers.

Bah!

Go read some Joseph Campbell.

If Harry and Neo and Luke all appear to be messianic - its because they were written that way and we like to read that sort of story.

As for the veiled dig at the Bible... it hasn't happened yet and I doubt that it will.
