I have a friend who is a boy. he is very kind to me. he may like me, but i am not sure about it.
Last week, he must fly to work in another country for 1 year. On his departure day, I was sick so I couldnt see him off at the airport. I called him to say sorry about it. And he said: " U are sick since u lack of 1 thing - a boy friend". He was very calm when he said that. He seemed to think of his sentence before saying that, i mean he prepared to say that.
What is the meaning of his sentence? What is he thinking?

If you two were just friends, and nothing else, he may have hoped that it was more, and when you didn't show, he took it that you didn't feel the same way. By him saying, You're sick because you don't have a boyfriend, he could be saying that you could have had a boyfriend, and now you don't, and that's why you are sick,
or---he meant that you should be his girlfriend, and you then wouldn't have been sick.
I would just ask him to clarify.

He may have felt rejected by you since you weren't there. But that doesn't mean you were wrong. He may have built up expectations of you and kept them to himself. That indicates to me that he is being selfish. There is no reason to feel obligated to him. A simple apology is all that is socially required, but beyond that, if he makes you feel guilty, then you just tell him that you are sorry that HE feels that way. Because sometimes life shows up and doesn't make for a perfect world.

u can still chat and call and send each other sms.u can ask him.
but if u don't like him y does it matter to u what did he say?? i mean it really doesn't matter.
but if u like him and care about his feelings go ask him and explain to him what was wrong with u!

I agree with awesome bill. I also wouldn't worry about it too much. . try to keep in touch with him if he wants you to. .
if he doesn't want to keep in touch, then forget him. Someone else will come along at the right time.
