Both sides are wrong. Both sides were butchering innocent civillians and targeting civillian infrastructure. Both sides broke international and humanitarian law, both side's leaders belong in court in the Hague charged with war crimes.

Both sides LOST this war. Israel didn't get it's soldiers back and have inflamed the region more and Hezbollah were not wiped out. hezbollah did not destroy Israel. Neither side achieved their objectives.

The Lebanese people are the biggest losers of all.

The whole disgusting debacle was a complete waste of life, money and effort. Except to the weapons manufacturers of course.

Hezbollah represents Resistance not terrorism, they resist occupation of their land, If Israel withdraw from ALL Lebanon including the parts they held since 1982 (Shibaa farms) then they will have no grudge against Israel and no more fighting.

I agree with " mark " on this.
The ball is in Israel's court now ; if they release the prisoners agreed upon - I believe they are 600 of them - as they promised they will, I do not think Hezbollah will cause any problems.
The 2 kidnapped Israeli soldiers will be returned, according to the U.N resolution No. 1701 and that is the end of it .......I hope !!

They're past the point of caring about life as normal folks know it. They're dedicated to the destruction of Israel and all Jews. Stop? Of course not.

Isreal has the right to defend itself. In 1776, did American have the right to defend itself? Yes. So why shouldn't Israel? Israel has to destroy all it's opponents before they destory it. Everything Israel did was fair.
