I have a 4 month old boxer puppy, she seems to me very hyper. When she see me, she jumps all over me, sprints all around the yard. Kinda worries me. Any helpful hints?

Nahh that's normal, I have two, they are 3yo. they still sprint around the yard at hyper speed, they calm down around 2yo it takes a little time to teach them not to jump and punch (it can hurt) I found that having two is much better than having one, they play with each other constantly, but ya don't have ta have 2, These are great dogs yer gonna have fun w/ her. Happy Boxing

Boxers are really nice dogs, loyal to their master, and also a good watch dog. At this time, she is still considered to be a puppy. They can get hyper, etc. Try walking her around the neighborhood, maybe this will calm her down since you are directing your Boxer to where you want her to go - you are in control of her. Walks can keep her mind off the hyperness and sprinting at your yard. Try it out. If not, take her to an obedience school for puppies.

My friends step mom has 2 male adult boxers and their hyper but they calm down untill they hear something very playful too, but about the hyper when seeing you thing i have a saint bernard and a mutt and if you leave for a few hours then come back they act like you have been gone for days they are adults and the bernard has problems with being left alone , hopefully your puppy will grow out of this stage.

That's just the breed! they are wonderful pets very intelligent and what a personality. No need to be worried shes just happy to see you! maybe when shes a bit older you could take her to obedience school or if that's not an option as I done know your monety situation there are many good books out there. Consistency is your key word here. Start now, with teaching her down.

No need to worry. That's how she shows you how excited she is to see you. My boxer does the same thing and she's 3 1/2 years old. They don't really grow out of it. I love it.
