The opposite is actually more likely to be true. As with human babies, the pieces of skull aren't completely fused together to help when they are squeezed out of their mother's womb (sorry, that's a bit graphic). As they age, the bones knit together so their skull is complete.

I think the guy just got his wires crossed somewhere!

yes its true but its not the skull that cracks lol, it also happens to rotweilers and a few other dogs, when your dog has fully grown run ur finger from his nose up to the top of his head and you will be able to feel the gap, its nothing to worry about its just the growth of a dog its perfectly normal. = )

I bred them for years and have never ever heard of that, i would imagine like a lot of mammals skulls they are in peices wen we r born ( a bit like a tight jigsaw) and as we age they eventually knit together, this allows for the brain to grow. Maybe thats what hes thinking of

that's about the craziest thing I've ever heard. not some thing to worry about with any dog breed, or animal at all for that matter.

This only happens if you hit it hard with some thing heavy.

Uh - why would that happen? Brains don't grow or anything... I wouldn't worry about your dog.
