If you're talking about general content and what to write about, that takes practice. For anyone who follows along with my Answers, they'll find that the content of my Answers is long. That's because I've been writing Journal Entries for two years now. Before that I had Penpals. Before that, I used to do a lot of Meditative Thought.
Just like any skill it requires practice getting the Creative Juices flowing. A lot of people don't really practice the art of writing. Also, with the advent of computers, letter-writing or handwritten is rare used nowadays. When you've handwritten letters, you appreciate how typewritten is able to catch more of your thoughts.
One thing that helps with writing Journals or Blogs is having a topic that interests you. You can write about that.
If you find yourself having difficulty coming up with topics, you can try reading the News and then documenting your own response or feelings on a certain topic.

I happen to like Strange News on AOL (http://aol.com/strange) that talks about the strange or bizarre things that happen. There's a lot of funny stuff that is worth commenting on.
I happen to be a "Blog Psychic." A Blog Psychic is someone who posts their Psychic Predictions on a Blog and then links them to whatever news sources surface the next day.
Proving that you're Psychic is tough. So the best way to showcase your abilities is by doing Psychic Readings and then showing how what you said comes true the next day in the News. It's one of the most tangible methods of proving your abilities.
I always have tons of content and it also sharpens my memory skills because I have to cite reference to previous Journal Entries that pertain to a Psychic Reading that surface. Better yet if you have visual aids that can show how what you said actually came true.

Turn your radio on, listen to the first sone played in it's entirety, turn the radio off, write what that song makes you think about.
Find the last picture taken of yourself, think about what was happenning when they took the picture, write about why that picture was taken.
Write about an event that made you feel strongly today. Something that pissed you off or made you sad or confused you. Write in detail why you had such a strong emotional connection to the event.
Any time something happens that you sense you're going to look back on. Write about what happened and how you feel at the time.
Eventually it will get easier for you to journal on demand.

Set a timer or alarm clock for 10 minutes and just write anything that comes to mind... the object is just to keep your hand moving and writing for the entire 10 minutes... don't focus on what you write or even if it makes sense... eventually you will write what is on your mind, what is bothering you, how you feel. I do this every night and I am sometimes surprised at what I have written... things come out and start to make sense to me... like if I cannot figure out what is causing me to feel depressed, suddenly after I read what I wrote I am able to figure it out and then me and my therapist process it all.

Think about the favourite things you remember, and write it in a way that you'd love to read about later on.
Its all about freely using your imagination and expression. Let it happen!

you should write what comes to your mind..you dont have to collect data what you want to write..just give sequance to your thinking and write down whatever comes to your mind...if you are shy that others will read etc.. you can make it private.. (its very easy if you are writing sme online website..but if you are writing on some paper even then you can keep it somewhere where others can access it.. so that you can be more confident that no one will read your private things, which will definately make you feel comfortable.

the only way for you to write easier to is to be relaxed...
you may also want to consider the type of pen you are using like the line thickness...
