Yes i agree, otherwise who else is going to teach them to be self reliant when the reach adulthood, of course do not tell them that is the job ure going to do when you grow up and you have no say in the matter let them decide for themselves, a person is only trully happy when they do what they want to in life not what other people want.

No, let the kid learn how to live thier own life.
1. if you do everything for them, they won't be able to do it on their own when you are gone.
2. Your tastes and desires might not be the same as theirs. This will make them miserable if they follow your advice and will make you miserable if they don't.
