My expense is 800 USD, a little more or less. I've not decided yet on brand name, maybe Canon or Nikon. I just want to take daily-life photos with high quality, especially at night and some landscape photos during vacations. I'd prefer to use an interchangeable lens with hood and high ability to zoom in and out. I also heard about wide conversion lens and tele conversion lens and I need advices on this as well.
Thank you for sharing your experience.

Best to tell him preferences like Make, Stats, price range and so on and trust them to make a choice while they are there. From there, he could email you make and model number and you could look it up on the internet and decide that way.

Go for Canon EOS 350D. It is a 8 mega pixel digital SLR. The camera comes with a kit lens. Depending on your budget and usage you can keep on adding lenses.

The file size would be about 5 MB in JPEG mode. You can experiment with the various settings and the instant feedback would be helpful in improving your skills.

Canon is the leader and you won't regret the purchase.
