First of all you had at least six months to pick out a name for your son... if Enoch is the best you could come up with, then get your head examined at your three-month checkup.

Secondly, your son is month old and still does not have a name??? Didn't you know he would need one when he was born? When are you going to buy a crib, once he gets into grade school?

And to answer your question, yes, your son will be made fun of in school because of the name "Enoch". First of all the teachers will say "EE-Notch" or "EE-Noke" instead of the assumed pronunciation of "EE-nook". Secondly, it's just an ugly name. Finally, he will be made fun of because his parents waited for a month (or more) to actually name him!!!

Geez...

If you like Enoch and want to name your son that, then name him that. Sounds like a fine name and one that you carefully considered the meaning and history of.

Who knows if he will be picked on, but many kids are picked on because of their names. And Enoch, I'm sure, isn't the oddest name out there. I've known girls named Cinnamon, Meadow, Echo, Winter, etc.

And his friends will accept him for who he is and have their own nickname for him anyway. So, again, if you really love that name, go with it.

Enoch is a wonderful name. But as we know about kids, no matter what name you give your son, children will make fun of any name. Don't worry about it, your son will live through what the other children say and will enjoy his name as he matures.

It may be that kids will make fun of him but more important than that is that you do your best to give him support so that he has a strong grasp of his worth and selfworth. Then he can withstand any possible attempts to hurt or ridicule him.

For the record, my name is Patrick; it's a popular name but that didn't stop people from making fun of it or of me; I even had kids tease me by calling me "newlywed" or other peculiar taunts; it isn't the words as much as the fact that kids seek to hurt someone else.

Kids can hurt each other emotionally, mentally, spiritually and physically; some of them go out of their way to hurt others. I don't say this to alarm you but to help prepare you so you can help prepare your son as the time comes.

Try not to worry too much, all the best to you and your son.

Other kids will get easily "confused" with Eunich, if you know what I mean. There are so many nice names to chose - why not try an ancient greek name? Alexander (the one that's brave, that drives men away) or Philip (the one that loves horses) for example.

aiyahh... since you can think of ppl making fun of him...!?!?! Then give him a better name lar... he's your son, try to make the best for him..

And not to create some that you like for him, yet knowing that there are possibilities about ppl laughing at him name on the later part... Dont you think so...

There are many GOOD & NICE names to choose for your dear son...!!!!! All the best to your son's future..
