The land of "Israel" should be split in half. The northern half would be Palestine and the southern half Israel.
In the middle occupying Jerusalem would be the new U.N. HQ with a corridor that divides these lands from the Mediterranean to the Red Sea. Stationed there should be 200,000 man Rapid Reaction Force capable of delivering a serious smack down to ANYONE in the region that acts out of line.
This solution creates peace in the region and gets the U.N. out of New York .

How can you say isreal was defeated look at the body count. As for what they achieved killing nearly 1 thousand terrorist supporters isn't bad for a few weeks work. Hezbollah started this on purpose and the blood is on Lebanons hands for supporting and harbouring terrorism. When the US was attacked on sept11 they invaded and still occupy afganistan. Shame on anyone who criticises Isreal for taking the same action not on a distant threat but on a very real repititious threat from a neighbour who has constantly made it's violent intentions known despite over fifty years of attempts by Isreal to live together in peace.

They gained the attention of the world that they would not back down when their lands were threatened. Their incursion into Lebanon over a simple border crossing/kidnapping gave a clear message to the rest of the world what would happen if the extremists kept messing with Israel, and Arab countries kept sheltering them. Imagine what might happen if Hizbollah does something really stupid.

well, they helped israel, because that is who they think is right.
Besides it is not Lebanon who is fighting, it is Hezbollah. I think the Arabs WONT leave the isrealis alone. the a many arab countries, and 1 tiny isrealy country. if isreal falls the whole middle east falls. The Hezbollah wants more.
According to stastistics, 60% or lebanon does not support Hezbollah. they are just to scared to speak up, beacuse if they do , Hezbollah will turn on them.
