Well Debra, really I don't entirely disagree with your philosophy. There are plenty of strange people and questions/answers posted, but there are also plenty of witty, intelligent and interesting questions/answers. It might be about a philosophical debate or something totally light and humourous. The point is the same it makes me smile, it might make me think, but it also allows me to feel in some way I am touching someone else's life, as mine too is being touched. Take care.

Debra, you just singlehandedly restored my faith in humanity. I answer Q's to honestly help people. I try to ignore the juvinille, biggoted, ignorant, assanine questions some ask and oftentimes ask myself.."with all this nonsense, is it worth it?"
The answer is, of course, yes! As long as I can help one person, no matter how insignificant...I've done my deed. It's almost like a microcosm, this Yahoo answers in regard to the whole of the world.
There are those that are good and only want to help, then there are others who would otherwise spread hatred, not bother to learn to spell or read or simply be ignorant.
I'm glad to see someone else see's it my way sweetie!

To spread the Gospel to an unbelieving group. Plant a few seeds, and let the Holy Spirit work in someone. I have this hope that one day I'll be in Heaven, and some will come over to me and say "Ted, I've been waiting a long time to thank you. I'm here today because of something you wrote in Yahoo". If I can help lead one person to Christ, the time I spend here is well worth it.

Yes, Debra, well said young lady. This is also why I like to answer peoples' questions. As you can see, I don't ask many.
Love and joy to you.

I'm mainly here because where I am I'm usually just preaching to the converted or to the deaf. I'd like to understand why people believe what they believe and maybe get a chance or three to discuss things.
