Moses didn't see anything.
The reason why Moses face started shining is because Gods glory is light. He spoke to God face to face.
So, when he when up to the mountain, some of the glory rubbed off and made his face glow. But as you see, he wore a veil over his face, he did that because after he came down, it started to fade away.
2 Corinthians 3:13-18

Moses saw the trail of God's glory as He passed by. God covered Moses and then allowed Moses to see His back or the trail of His glory. Why Moses face shined from this we are not told. Perhaps it was just from being in the presence of God in such a fantastic mannor that God's glory illuminated the face of Moses. God's glory is hard to define. We give God glory essentially givinng Him credit for what He does. Exalting Him for what He does. Because He is God He is deserving of our praise and adoration and He is glorious or worthy of such. When God's glory filled the Temple in 2 Chronicles it was kind of like a cloud but it signified His presence. So perhaps Moses was in the afterglow of His presence and His face shown. Great question.

Himself - in all His Glory. God is so radiant that His radiance reflected off Moses's face just as the sun reflects off the moon.

His back parts. Why do the people make such nasty comment's. Do they realize God can put them flat on their back, in a heart beat.

Nobody can see Gods face and live.
