are these just another off brand like legacy? i'm looking to replace my legacys with a quality subwoofer...is Lanzar quality?

If you really want a good quality sub, u should either buy mtx, or audiobahn they beat hard, and jus put it in a plexiglass box, even if u have one, itll sound like u have two its hits hard and sounds good, i have two "10 audiobahn subs, but now i have 2 "15 alpine type R's, and there bad ***, but heavy, but its up to u man.

Ok here's the real deal. Lanzar was a very high quality car audio manufacturer. Their opti drive amps had legendary performance. About 7 years ago the company came into financial difficulty. They were purchased by a company called Sound Around. They are in New York. Sound Around is the parent company that owns Pyle ( once a good company ) Pyramid, Legacy and Lanzar. Everything they make is sub par. Very cheap, low quality flea market stuff. Not even company's like Best Buy will carry their stuff. Look to more reputable brands. Kicker, Jl Audio are 2 very good brands to consider.

no lanzar are not quality subs...there just another cheep brand with high claims on power handling. however any speaker will sound good if placed in the proper box...out of all the subs made that are in the main stream lanzar and legacy are among the worst....if your looking for a nice cheep woofer but still want quality try a JL audio W0. i personaly use the W3 v2 12". in a competition slot ported box with 300RMS watts....very loud, hits hard and goes low.....i used to install car audio and alot of brands are good....just dont be fooled when u go into a gar audio place to listen to woofers alot of those guys will run 2000 watt amps into any sub just so it plays loud in the store...put that sub in a vehicle with the same power than beat the crap out of it and it toast.....brands i would consiter...JL, ALPINE, CERWIN VEGA, MTX, BAZOOKA, ROCKFORD FOSGATE, KICKER, and some others......a good rule of thumb..if the power handling is anywhere on the front of the speaker its junk..its just a flashy thing sayin hey i can handle 1000 watts...maybe for about 1 second then it done......hope this all helped....oh the wattage thing also applies to amps...ever see a quality amp with its wattage painted all over it...nope...just the cheep ones

Alpine
Kicker
JL Audio
stay away from sony, rockford fosgate(going out of business)
also stay away from the alpine type r (its very glitchy and not recommended by installers)
