If I don't like to see or listen to something I stay away from it. What's up with that?

CHRISTIANS;
Consider yourselves on notice. If you are rude or unkind to atheists you are not conducting yourselves as Jesus would. He is supposed to be your example. Atheists have a right their belief. Insulting them will not make them want to change.
ATHEISTS;
With this post I make clear my belief in your right to your opinion and what I think of Christians who are rude to you. I can't find the site where some atheists complained because I didn't post there.
I never implied that ALL Atheists complained. Rudeness from you will not make any Christians want to change either. So discuss things like adults if you want anyone to consider what you have to say. I at least read your comments to determine if they have any merit.

I know-I always compare it with me not believing in aliens. I don't search out alien websites and try constantly to make those people stop believing in them. It just isn't important to me. I think they enjoy the debate, and hope to find something to believe in.

I come here to confront religion in all its superstition and idealized ignorance. I object, loudly, to people who try to get their religious beliefs legislated into law. I have no problem with religious displays on private property, but I object to public funds being used to support religious displays on public property.
How loudly do you think Christians would scream if someone tried to place a copy of Islamic law in a park instead of the Ten Commandments? Or the Wiccan Rede? Or the Tenets of Buddhism?
I have no problem with people discussing religion on this forum. But if someone says something I know is wrong or willfully ignorant, I will speak up. If you have an objection to that, go somewhere else because I am not leaving any time soon.
(Real life concerns might change that, though)

1. Well, atheists are not always sure of their convictions of the non-existence of God, so they go on exposing themselves to religion just in case they will find one post or message that will change their stance. 2. Psychoanalystically (Freud's theory) I would say there is an unconscious desire for filling up the void within themselves which keeps driving them to read religious things but then fight the same by their conscious self. They come to this Religion site just so they can sneer at the Christians and pretend to themselves that they are brighter than we are because they don't believe any of this "superstitious nonsense". Frankly, I think that they are scared witless that Christians might be right and want to be persuaded. They wouldn't admit that to anyone though, or to themselves either.

Just because I choose to believe or not believe in something doesn't mean I'm not open to other people's opinions and beliefs. I like discussing religion and many other topics with people.

Where else do you think they can go? Unlike the Theists, they have absolutely no set of beliefs around which they can rally. They make a bunch of unsubstantiated and uncorroborated statements with absolutely no facts to back them.

I don't say that. And I personally don't think an Athiest really said that. I come here fully knowing what kind of hate and bigotry there is here, but also knowledge, advice and opinions to be shared. That's why I'm here.

Nobody is complaining about being exposed to these posts, we complain about religious people who pass laws and start wars based on their religion.
This is just a forum to explain our point of view.

Xtians do the same when they see Athiest posts in the religion catagory. Really, let it go already....You don't like it, ignore it.
Same goes for Athiests. Don't like it? Ignore it.
This issue is so mundane.

I've never seen that. The only thing I see is that they come and harrass the religious people and say rude comments and stuff, but usually it is ignored. They just like to make a stir like everyone else.
