You will probably loose a little weight. I walked for about an hour a day 3-4 days a week for 6 moths and I lost 15 pounds from just that. I also did a little hill running (like a speedy hike through easy terrian) or tried to keep a brisk pace if on a flat paved surface. That's the key. You only burn more calories if you elevate your heart rate a bit. I didn't diet but basically eat healthy. I think most people loose more than me with the same amount of effort so you will probably do better than that.

You'd have to walk a very long distance over the course of weeks/months in order to lose substantial weight. You're not really getting your heart rate up very high, so weight loss will be minimal doing only 30 mins/day. You'd do well to change your diet, as exercise alone will only do so much.

yes, it will, if this is an additional activity that you are adding. If it's just a continuation of same level of activity, you may not lose more weight, only maintain without gaining. the body does not care if you are walking, jogging, or running - just moving and burning up the calories. that is all that's needed for weight loss. try to increase length of time spent walking over time so as to build up endurance and lose more weight. Also, remember portion control and fewer carbs as an additional way to lose weight. the key is to use more calories than you eat!

You know this is really tricky. Muscle weighs more than fat and walking (especially up-hill) will make you gain muscles which might make your weight higher. I ,personally, don't look at weight too much because I have a lot of muscles. For example, my friend always weighed less than me even though she had much much more fat.
Also your wieght depends a lot on what you eat, so watch what you eat, don't eat too much sugars and try to not eat after 8 p.m. If you keep up your walks and watch your food, of course you will lose some weight.

If I'm not mistaken.. the average person who weighs 60lbs to 70lbs must walk 10,000 steps a day in order to maintain weight and lose weight preferred by your height. Try accomplishing that amount of steps with a step-monitor, I think its called a Speedometer?

Yes, walking is great exercise. Perhaps even better than running. I'm not an expert so I can't give you any statistics but, if you checked it out on the Internet I bet you'd find the information to back up this claim.

push it up to about an hour, drink a lot of water, cut out soda, and dont your calories down all at once, it will put your body in starvation mode and ur metabolism will lower, do not go under 1200 cals, also cut out white bread, and stay away from diet pills, they will speed your metabolism while your taking them then your body will slow it down when you quite causing you to gain it all back, foods that claim to be diet food, a waste of time, just cut out a few things eat a little less walk a little more, make it a lifestyle change not a diet

you will lose some weight.
actually you're more likely to gain muscle mass.
the scale might not move a bunch but your body will become more toned and might make your clothing fit a bit looser.
stick to it and you'll see results of some sort.
I did this last year and saw results. the more hills you can scale, the better.
