We hope they at least donate all the confiscated stuff.

They didnt confiscate baggage, they removed items from the baggage. I fly three times a week and it bites because you can no longer take any liquid or gel products through security. This means if you have a long flight, you cant brush your teeth mid day. (Toothpaste is on the list.)
I dont complain though. They are doing the best job that they can to keep us safe. If they didnt take these measures and something did happen, they would be condemned for not taking necessary steps of prevention. Some of the TSA guys act like Nazis but all in all Im thankful for what theyre doing.

Why weren't you smart enough to make sure that you checked your "carry-on" luggage. There was certainly enough publicity and information about what you could and could not take on a plane with you. I flew cross country this past Friday (8/11), with carry-on items and I made sure that I didn't carry any items not allowed. Nothing of mine was confiscated or thrown away. Remember, it's better to be safe than sorry!

i might examine the rolling ones. it would make issues much less complicated having a sixteen month previous. And use the vast suitcase. much less money you need to pay. And finding on the dimensions of the airplanes, you won't be ready to have great carry ons. We went to Florida a pair weeks in the past and we've been on a 50 passenger airplane so our luggage have been valet checked.

Because you can't inspect the liquids in an xray machine or anything to determine if they are explosives. I think it was all a little over the top but at the same time, I'd rather buy $30 worth of tolietries and live.

You don't REALLY believe they just threw all of that stuff away, do you? First, the female airport employees got a chance to go through and take all of the Chanel No. 5 and all of the other expensive cosmetics. Why on earth would they want to miss such a prime opportunity? I bet many of them won't be buying cosmetics for decades.

The TSA (airport security) is a government agency, the Airlines have no say in what they do. Do not blame the airlines, if they could, check your stuff, they would...
The TSA confiscated your stuff, not the airlines.

there are thousands maybe millions of passengers, and of coarse workeers are lazy so theyr not gonna take the time to go through everyones baggage and the stuff in them and try to examine one throughly to find something with a very low probability to be able to be found so they just take the easier way and say dont bring it

That day genius, Britain arrested 21 people in a plot to fly in the US and attack us. You may need to spend a few dollars for toiletries, big fricken deal.
