At what point or are there signs to indicate that you are really in love with a person. If so, can you please forward me your comments so I can compare my feelings, thoughts, etc. with everyone else? Thank you everyone!

I had a revelation about the issue of 'love' recently.
I realized that I've never truly liked someone before. I realized that i lusted after people simply for the cheap thrill of 'thinking about them' or hearing their voice, and for those momentary giddy trips. Then when they do something wrong, I'd readily dump them just because they don't meet up to my expectations.

You'll know that you love that person when you're willing to do things for them that would hurt you in the process. You'd love them even if you know that their love for you will never be as great as yours or that they don't even love you in return. I think you truly like that person when you keep sentimental things about them, even though they didn't give it to you intentionally like a gift. My friend once received the oddest things (a bottle of vanilla extract, a rock, stuff like that) from this boy she truly liked, and she kept them. It sounds creepy, but when you're in love, anything that links you to the guy will be considered as precious.
But really, love finds you at the oddest time/places, and the realization that it's true love doesn't come immediately.

Some people think that they're in love, but in actuality, they've grown accustom to the feeling of having someone to rely on and they don't want to lose that support.

Love's irrational really. So don't try to dissect your feelings so that you can observe bits and pieces of it. Just go with the flow, cuz if you try to analyze your feelings, you might just convince yourself into loving someone, or dumping someone. Love is a matter of the heart, so lead with your heart, not your head.

the diffrence is love is when the person walks in the room the whole room brightens up u just want to hold that person close to u and never let them go and you don't care wether or not u have sex so long as u are w/ them lust is the opposite you don't care what the person is doing or if they are hurt or anything like that just so long as they make u happy physically but u can be in love and have lust at the same time the way to tell is if u still care about the person in the down time

if your young its really hard to tell cause the lust will take over ur love.. ive been in the situation where i thought i was in love but it was only lust..

things u can do to see is do u have sex with the person ALOT.. and if so try to cut back a bit on it and focus more on the developement in a relationship.. plus this will make the sex 10x better anyway..

as for love... i dunno love is something that cant really be defined in words the feeling is uncomprehendable.. some signs are.. everytime they call u get a feeling.. every kiss is just as memorable as the first.. every time u see them u get that butterfly feeling in ur stomache.. if something happens to them u feel sympathy for them.. U are connected emotionally and can talk about every problem..

Hope this helps and good luck!

Now that's a good question! You can lust after someone you love, but not necessarily love someone you lust. I think the definition of Love is different for everyone, and when it comes down to it you'll have to figure that out yourself. If it's only lust, it will most likely fade.

You are TRULY in Love, when you want the person you love to be more happy than you are. Love is about Giving and Receiving joy knowing our loved one is happy.

Lust is about Taking and satiating only our needs and pleasure. Thats why people in lust get angry or upset, when they do not get what they want, and when the heat of lust cools down, it off to the next target :)

When you start looking at the person with a smile on your face and admiring what they do or how they make you feel good, rather than, looking at them in a way where you want to get them naked. Love vs. lust.

When it makes you sick when you think about that person, or you might get jealous when you think of that person with someone else. I've often found that when I've fallen in love( very rarely) that I've tended to lose a bit of weight from all of the sleepless nights.

Although Truely, as it has been said before. It is when that person is the first thing you think of waking up, and the last thing you think of going to bed.

When you're in love, you want to know more about the person, not just when you can see them again for a quicky. When you're in lust who cares what they do afterwards you just cant wait for the next time you get some. Does that help..?
