You feel restless and always yearning for that first puff again! But in the long run, you have better control of yourself, you have more time for other activities, you have more money (cigarettes can be expensive!). So, quit now and take it one day at a time.

Tell you what,i smoked for 40 years and used Chantix to quit but I did quit.Everyone had told me how great I would feel and how great food would taste so and so on.I tell you its has been four months and ive lost weight because every thing taste terrible, there seems to be a wreched smell almost every where I go and I just seem to feel lousy,i don't breath any better either. My nervous system was thrown into shock when I was a kid,im 62 now so there could just be something wrong with me.I might try becoming a part time smoker,i have seversl friends that smoke 4 to 5 a day and that's it.Good look if your tring to quit.

I am 26 years old and had been a smoker since I was 14. It has been a year now since I have quit. It was hard for the first 2 weeks. But after that it was mostly psychological.

Start by throwing away all your cigarettes and paraphenilia.
Don't be around friends when they are smoking, or else you will end up asking for one.
Just stop buying cigarettes. It isn't a cheap habit.
If you get the urge, keep your mouth busy by chewing gum.
Try to do activities that help you to stay focus instead of thinking of lighting one up.
Eventually, you will stop having "loogie" in your throat all the time.
You will stop coughing the way you do.
Going up a flight of stairs become easy on your breathing lungs.
Your taste buds become even more keen again.

You won't seem so AGGRAVATED all the time (I noticed a few of my friends are moody. Having been a smoker myself, I believe smoking and nicotine have to do with it).
Your hair won't smell. Your clothes won't wreek of an ashtray.

If you are thinking of stopping because you feel sick, maybe your body is telling you that it is time to take action. It will only get worse in the future if you don't quit now.

Best wishes and YOU CAN DO IT . JUST PUT YOUR MIND TO IT.

for 9 years youve been smoking, so expect some drawbacks...

rememeber its hard to stop what you have used to do for 9 years... the best thing is to do it slowly... REMEMBER DONT DO ABRUPTION method... coz you'l be in the hospital in a matter of days...

Do it the nice way, when you can smoke 20 sticks a day.. on the first day have 18 then followed by 16 and 14 and so on.. until you reach the date of 0 cigarrete.

how hard is it?
very hard but dieng of lung cancer, experiencing the pain during operations, difficulty of breathing is much HARDER!!!!

you might experience, nausea, vomiting, headache.. but take paracetamol this are just normal compensatory signs that your body is starting to adopt your healthy lifestyle...

Good Luck and hoping for your success

you become a cold turkey due to the withdrawal symptoms. you must have a strong will to persevere quitting. but gradually, the more you persevere, the easier it becomes. nicotine patches may help. if i did it 2 years ago, you could do it too. good luck. cheers!

It sucks at first, because you always want a cigarette. But the longer you go without, the easier it gets.
