how come u get this concept that muslim ladies r not left with any option & they r forcely asked to cover their heads?2 tell u all its our religion that says to women, cover urself when u go out" & not our men ordering us. v r practicing our religion.our religion tells us 2 cover coz we do not want 2 ve the problems Non muslims r having now. a girl loses her verginity at very young age of 10,12,14 years w/t her parents knowledge.she sleep with them get pragnant n then do abortion. do u like all this filth? is this ur way of life? i have been in UK n my neighbor's 12 yrs daughter was pragnant from a boy whose name she doesnt know. she had doubt on 3 boys coz she slept with all of them. such vices in society comes in when women get naked. u cant stop men bt atleast u can save urself by taking some safety measure. y u ppl like to neglect the fact? y u dont ve courage to call good as good?u ppl ve far more AIDS cases then muslim countries. y?u ve premarital sex cases, y? u ve more divorces

and marriage is not possible without girls consent.if girl is agreed, boy is agreed then u n me r no one to interfere.AIDS is for sure much more in nonmuslim countries then in muslim countries. the fact is that v have fear of god in hearts coz v have faith. b4 touching an unknown man or woman v will think 1000 times.but the problem with u ppl is lack of faith n belief. lack of fear of God's anger.therefore u keep on doing such stuff n take it as modern world where individuals ve FREE WILL as u mentioned in ur answer start.v live our lives according to our religion coz we know v to answer some one for our deeds. this is the main difference between u and muslims.

i agree that men are a big problem and i respect the woman who saves her self whether she covers her hair or not!!
hell, some women cover their hair and still get harassed by men in some middle eastern countries but I'm sure covering the hair does help a lot at least when a man sees a respectful woman he will respect her!!

I have never understood why people have such a problem with muslim women covering themselves. They are being modest in the eyes of God. What's wrong with that? I'm an American woman that has a hard time even going shopping without having to look everywhere for skirts that don't show my entire butt, or shirts with a modest neck. I'm not a prude or anything, but I think some of the stuff kids are allowed to wear and do nowadays is outrageous.

Who on earth is stopping you from covering yourself? Cover even your eyes if you want to!! And if you say that muslim women are practicing their religion when they ''cover'' themselves - then from WHERE exactly does your question come regarding nuns???
How can you say women must cover up to stop men? Or that men can't control themselves? They have exactly as much control as women. Thats like saying that we should imprison ourselves to save ourselves from thieves and murderers - and breakdown all the jails and let all prisoners go free. Every human being has a conscience, a mind, a soul and free will. If you want to cover yourself, don't blame men - coverup of your own free will!
You talk of losing virginity at 10, 12, 14 - in the quran muhammad 'deflowers' aisha at 9. You speak of a case of your neighbour in the uk - I can name 10 christian neighbours of mine who have had sex only after marriage. You speak of exceptions, not the rule; of minority, not the whole. Everyone isnt having abortions. Child marriages permit sheikhs to sleep with their 'wives' at almost any age. AIDS incidence is highly underreported in muslim countries. In the UAE - yes, I have seen this myself- it is not heresay - if a 'high up' national has AIDS docs are not even allowed to put it in the patient notes.. and if a non-national has AIDS they are deported. That is why the incidence is so low - due to under-reporting - a serious problem as these cases go on spreading the disease without others knowing.
Yes, there are more premarital sex cases and divorces - but that is more due to the LACK of practice of 'religion' than following it, which is what you have neglected to mention.
You want to know the biggest 'fault' of christianity? its that it doesnt force you to practice it -and it doesnt insist that society force you either. THAT is why no-one follows - coz they have free will - and THAT is what results in divorces, premarital sex and abortions. Religion means practicing what you believe.. following your conscience - THAT is religion. Not following rituals. And if Jesus - or muhammad was here today, they'd make a million changes to everything allegedly 'written' in the holy books and 'preached'.
